With three sweet girls in the family (and their amazing mom), the pink theme won out for this photo shoot. But after seeing how beautiful they turned out, I don’t think Dad was complaining. (Plus, it’s obvious that he loves his girls so much and would do anything for them.) The pink, gray, and white brought such a fresh, bright look to this snowy family shoot.
Snowy Colorado Family Mountain Photos
I actually photographed this session last March (Colorado's snowiest month!) out in the Lake Dillon area. We traveled to a few spots throughout the shoot—thank goodness for cute snow boots—but ended up loving the photos at Sapphire Point. It’s easy to see why this is also a popular wedding spot with vibrant evergreen trees, a full mountain view, and sometimes even a glimpse of Lake Dillon from above on a clear day. The snow fell consistently throughout our session, so we were super lucky to get a tiny peek at the mountains behind. Of course, we’re missing the tallest peak here as it was covered in clouds, but I love the soft blended effect it created in the backdrop.
These three rosy-cheeked sisters were a delight to capture. They’re so photogenic, and you can’t even tell they were freezing their toes off. I love the picture of them snuggling beneath a blanket together. And the family even brought their best pup friend along. Is there anything cuter than dogs and kids?!
I’m so glad I pulled this one back out! I loved spending some time with this family, and I think their their wardrobe choice is great inspiration for non-holiday snowy sessions. If you’re looking for something similar, I’d love to venture out to the mountainside with you! Connect with me [here]—can’t wait to meet you on the slopes!
