I’ve realized something lately. People are getting to know me through my LinkedIn posts.
It’s funny because I’ve let my guard down here more than I expected to. These posts are little windows into how I think, lead, and grow. I share them to inspire those quiet ones out there who might not see themselves as leaders yet. I want them to know they can grow into one.
One of my classmates mentioned a book and said it seemed right up my alley. He said that based on my LinkedIn posts, he’s learned what kind of leader I am.
Whoa.
It reminded me of my photography days when I built a following through blog posts, Facebook, and a newsletter that reached about two thousand subscribers. One morning, I ran out to grab donuts in my PJs, and someone recognized me as the photographer they’d been following. I remember being completely floored and a little embarrassed.
And here I am again, years later, just as surprised.
Grateful that people are listening.
Grateful that something I share might help someone else find their voice.
